During daily exercise, my knee would occasionally buckle on me, usually as I was running. Also, I would sometimes have pain just below my kneecap. These were never ongoing occurrences. This went on for 2 to 3 months, so I decided to have it checked out. An MRI revealed that I had a high grade ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) tear.

I was skiing over the weekend (4 days ago). On the last run, as I was getting off of the ski lift. I slipped and fell down and heard a "pop" noise. I thought I broke my knee, but it was my left knee ACL tear. I am waiting for the swelling to go down to get to the operating table.
