Excellent article. I have a friend who was hospitalized recently due to "unexplained symptoms" such as twisted side of face, swelling under one eye with no change in color, but full of what appeared to be fluid. Tests included blood work, scan and IV antibiotics. They told him everything was "OK". Nothing was found. The doctor told him that he probably got bitten by something. I would like to know what you think about this situation. I told him he probably had a TIA. He also doesn't take a daily ASA. His only diagnosis is BPH and is on medication for it. I was a nurse for over 30 years.
