I have had anemia since I was 14 years of age and now I am a mother of 2 and it is getting worse now. The doctors just gave me the tonic tablet, I've already finished nearly two packets of these tablets but nothing changed. I think I need help.

I didn't know my symptoms were attributed to my blood until I went to my Veterans Affairs clinic appointment. They ran a blood exam and that's when I found out and was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia. My hemoglobin was 7.2, very low for women.

I went to donate blood, that was the second time I was told I was anemic (low iron). I have no symptoms that I notice.

I go to the chemo treatment room every other week and get an Epogen shot. I feel tired, cold, shortness of breath, and run down.
