I was at the pharmacy the other day and I used the blood pressure machine there on a whim. To my surprise, my blood pressure was 110 over 74! This seems very low, but I don’t have any symptoms or anything. Should I see a doctor? What is a dangerously low blood pressure?
Low blood pressure (hypotension) may be caused by
- heart conditions,
- intravascular fluid complications (dehydration, pneumonia, vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding),
- endocrine conditions,
- allergic reactions,
- orthostatic hypotension,
- diabetes, and
- micturition syncope.
