Bay leaf and lemon tea (simmered for 30 minutes), thyme and liquorice tea (dried herbs in cafetiere), turmeric powder in milk, ginger tea, and oregano oil are all good for chronic bronchitis.

This is a lemon treatment for bronchitis, from my mother. Squeeze a half of a lemon into a coffee cup. Add sugar, or Splenda, to suit your taste (but not real sweet) and hot water. Sip this. Do not use Real Lemon juice, only fresh lemons! It cuts the cough and does something to the throat that helps the tickle and opens the bronchus. Another one for incessant coughing is to rub Vicks VapoRub on your throat and up under the chin to get those glands and then wrap up in a piece of an old flannel pajama-type-rag. Close with a big safety pin. We call it our 'Vicks Rag' and always keep the pin on the rag when it is laundered or off for a day. Cut the cloth about 16 inch long and about 6 inch wide so you can flip it over and have it doubled up to 3 inch. Loosely wrap it around the throat and carefully pin it. I guarantee you will use this and your kids will use it on their kids. It is a miracle solution.
