Stay away from any dairy products. I feel fine for months and think that one little scoop of ice cream or pudding pie will be ok, and I am struck by diverticulitis again. Dairy free is my reality.

I ate some cream style corn about 3 or 4 days ago and now I am cramping like crazy from diverticulitis and the belly is bloated. I feel pressure too, even after having 3 or 4 bowel movements, and the pressure won’t go away. I am now giving my bowels a chance to rest. Hope in a few days I’ll feel better.

I found that salads are what cause my diverticulitis to flare up. I have been told that lettuce is difficult to digest. I am staying away from that stuff. Also, since I read that it is okay to eat nuts, I have been eating more. But now that I am currently dealing with a flare up, I am starting to think I will be staying away from them as well.

I have been diagnosed with diverticulosis. I have severe pain in groin, down my leg, pain under my ribs on the right side and lower back pain. The pain in my side is worse when I have bowel movements, then it eases off. I went to the doctor and he said it's my back and put me on diazepam, but I am still in pain. I wonder if this could be an attack of diverticulosis.

I am in constant pain with my stomach, and eating regular meals makes the diverticulitis worse. I have a perforated colon and have never been the same. Part of my colon was removed, I have severe bloating.
