Picture of Broken Toe
Toes are easily broken during instances of trauma or injury. Stubbing a toe or accidentally dropping a heavy object on a toe may be enough to break bones. Toes are also prone to hairline, or stress fractures with repetitive use or from engaging in certain sports.
Broken toes may be associated with swelling, pain, stiffness, and difficulty walking or pivoting, especially if the big toe is broken. Other symptoms may include bruising and a deformed or bent appearance of the affected toe if the bone is misaligned.
