Picture of Dental Crown

A dental crown is a cap or covering that is placed over a damaged tooth. Dental crowns restore teeth to their original shape and size. They also strengthen teeth. Crowns can be used to strengthen a tooth when a filling is too large to fit on the original tooth. Crowns can also be used to help attach bridges, prevent a weak tooth from breaking, or restore a broken tooth.
