Inverse psoriasis is a skin condition that results in the appearance of smooth, red lesions in areas where there are folds in the skin (groin, armpits, under the breasts, and abdomen). Sweat and friction aggravate the inflamed and irritated areas. Yeast commonly overgrows in skin folds and may trigger psoriasis outbreaks.
