Keratoconus is a condition that distorts vision when the cornea of the eye becomes thinner and more cone shaped. The exact cause of keratoconus is unknown. The condition will make it difficult to focus well and soft contact lenses and glasses will not correct the problem. Blindness may does not occur with this eye condition. Treatment may include hard contact lenses or corneal transplantation.
