Multiple sclerosis may be accompanied by mild to severe symptoms that include:

  • Weakness in the limbs
  • Difficulties with balance and coordination
  • Fatigue, prickling pain, and numbness
  • Muscle spasms
  • Difficulty controlling the bladder or bowels
  • Mood difficulties including depression and anxiety
  • Vision problems including loss of vision in one eye, blurry vision, color distortions, and eye pain
  • Paranoia
  • Laughter or weeping that is uncontrollable
  • Cognitive dysfunction including difficulties with memory, attention, and concentration
  • Dizziness
  • Difficulties with speech
  • Tremors
  • Loss of sensation
