Hepatitis B virus caused my elevated liver blood values.

Comment from: B. Wilson, 25-34 Male (Patient) Published: December 13

I did my liver test yesterday, and first time in my medical history my AST value was up to 43. I do not know what could be the possible cause of this abnormal value. But 2 nights before this lab test, I was involved in an accident, started to feel some chest pains, was taken to the hospital and received a diclofenac shot on my thigh. I am an occasional drinker. I am not sure what this means and how I can prevent a further damage.

My liver enzyme ALT is 113, AST is 59, bilirubin 1.6 and alkaline phosphatase is 202. I wonder to which liver disease this relates.

I had blood tests last week and was told my liver function was over 200. I am not sure what this means. More blood tests tomorrow and have to arrange a scan on Friday.
