Symptoms of opioid addiction include chronic constipation, nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, and insomnia. Treatment of opioid addiction may include medications such as naltrexone, buprenorphine, methadone, and/or lofexidine, in addition to behavioral therapy and counseling.
