I have been on oxycodone and time released morphine for the most part of 17 years. I have never had the euphoria some experience. People believe that someone like me are non-functioning addicts. I have never abused my medication and while it does not relieve all of my pain, it allows me to function and care for myself, my mate who is paraplegic, and my 13 year old grandson. It is alarming to read in this article that if I were involved in a motor vehicle accident, I could be charged with being under the influence. My medication assists with pain only, I am not high, sleepy or otherwise adversely affected by opioids.

I have used oxycodone for 13 years with no highs or any other side effects. It does kill the pain.
