J. BRADLEY RANDLEMAN, MD

Dr. J. Bradley Randleman, MD, is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Emory University. His areas of expertise include a variety of refractive surgery procedures, the management of corneal and external eye diseases, corneal transplantation, and cataract surgery.

Dr. Randleman received his BA degree from Columbia University in New York City. He earned his MD degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his residency training at Emory University, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. As a member of the Emory faculty, Dr. Randleman served as Clinical Instructor and Assistant Residency Director for one year. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea/External disease and refractive surgery at Emory University.

Recently, Dr. Randleman's outstanding care and skills were recognized on a national level. He was awarded the prestigious Claes Dohlman Society Award, which is given once each year to only one individual in the United States for academic and surgical excellence in Cornea and Refractive Surgery training. Since practicing at Emory, he has trained 15 physicians in cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and corneal transplantation.

Recognized as an authority on the diagnosis and management of corneal surgery and diseases, Dr. Randleman has given more that 50 hours of lectures and presentation and presented his research at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has authored more than 30 publications in leading ophthalmology journals, including "Intraocular lens power calculations after laser in situ keratomileusis." He regularly reviews articles for national ophthalmic journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Cornea and Ophthalmology.

Dr. Randleman lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and three children, who provide joy and meaning to his life outside work.
